How is the investment capital of private business owners regulated?
According to Article 189 of the 2020 Enterprise Law, the investment capital of private business owners is implemented as follows:
- The investment capital of private business owners is self-registered by the business owner. Private business owners have the obligation to accurately register the total investment capital, specifying the amount in Vietnamese Dong, freely convertible foreign currencies, gold, and other assets.
- For assets other than cash, it is necessary to specify the type of asset, quantity, and remaining value of each type of asset.
- All capital and assets, including borrowed capital and leased assets, used in the business operations of the enterprise must be fully recorded in the accounting books and financial reports of the enterprise in accordance with the provisions of the law.
- During the operation, private business owners have the right to increase or decrease their investment capital in the business operations.
- The increase or decrease of investment capital by private business owners must be fully recorded in the accounting ledger. In the case of reducing investment capital below the registered capital, private business owners can only reduce capital after registering with the Business Registration Agency.
