According to Article 28 of the Social Insurance Law 2014, the specific sick leave benefit is as follows:
- Employes who are entitled to sick leave under the provisions of Clause 1 and Point a, Clause 2 of Article 26 of the Social Insurance Law 2014, Article 27 of the Social Insurance Law 2014, will receive a monthly benefit equal to 75% of their social insurance contribution for the immediate preceding month before leaving their job.
In the case where a new employee or a previously insured employee has a period of interrupted work and needs to take sick leave within the first month of returning to work, the benefit amount is equal to 75% of the social insurance contribution for that month.
- Employees who are eligible for sick leave benefits as specified in point b, clause 2, Article 26 of the 2014 Social Insurance Law shall receive benefits as follows:
+ With 65% of the monthly social insurance contribution amount from the immediately preceding month before resigning if the social insurance has been paid for a minimum of 30 years.
+ If employees have been contributing to social insurance for at least 15 years but less than 30 years, they will receive 55% of the monthly social insurance
+ If employees have contributed to social insurance for less than 15 years, they will receive 50% of the monthly social insurance contribution from the previous consecutive month before leaving their job.
- If an employee is entitled to sick leave benefits according to Article 26, Clause 3 of the Social Insurance Law 2014, they will receive 100% of the monthly social insurance contribution from the previous consecutive month before leaving their job.
- The daily sick leave allowance is calculated by dividing the monthly-sick-leave allowance by 24 days.
